Archdeacon's Visitation

On the 5th June it was our very great honour to host the Archedacon of Wells' annual visitation to the Ivelchester and Yeovil Deaneries - an occasion that acts as the official relicencing of Churchwardens.

The centerpiece was a wonderful service during which the Archdeacon, Anne Gell, 'charged' the assembled churchwardens to uphold their office, and in turn, the churchwardens made a declaration to serve their parishes.

It was a wonderful opportunity for us to meet folk from other churches and share in fellowship and worship and, in typical St Michael's style, we made sure lashings of tea and mountains of cakes were available as the congregation gathered.
