Opening Times

The Church is open all day, every day.  You are very welcome to visit for whatever reason

Directions

You will find us in the middle of beautiful village East Coker, a little over 3 miles south of the busy town of Yeovil.  The church is clearly signed from the main street running through the village.  We are well within walking distance of our lovely village pub The Helyar Arms the prefect place for a drink and something to eat during your visit.

Parking

There is limitedparking close to the church.

  • When there isn't a service or event going on, you should be able to park at the top of the hill, just outside the church.

  • If you are visiting to attend a service, or there is a service going on when you visit, you may have to park down the hill opposite the Almshouses and The Paddock or on another road in the village.  Please do so considerately and safely.

  • For major services and big events we open the Glebe Field for parking, the entrance to which will be clearly signposted.  When we are using the Glebe Field, you are okay to drop off at the church, but please don't park there.

Accessibility

Unfortunately there are some steps into the nave of the church which makes it difficult for wheelchair users to access without some assistance.  One of our top  priorities as part of Project Beacon is to make the church fully accessible, but sadly that is not the case at the moment.

Loo

We have a loo which is available for visitors and worshippers.  It isn't grand, and it has limited accessibility, but it is more than many churches have!  You can reach it via a door leading off the sanctuary, just beyod (to the east) of the choir stalls. Another aim of Project Beacon is to establish a fully accessible WC.
